Emerging from the country music capital of the world, Tennesse native JOHNNY PE is determined to disrupt the status quo with his new The Free Work mixtape, embodying his unorthodox approach to music.
Hailing from Nashville — or Cashville, as the 29-year-old crooner knows his city — JOHNNY PE utilizes a two-pronged approach when composing music, that he feels created the new genre of ‘TRAPNB’.
Finding inspiration and feeling from soulful R&B roots, and drawing energy and pace from the improvisation and bravado of Urban music, JOHNNY PE brings to life the TRAPNB genre on The Free Work mixtape through a number of skillful and uncut lethargic records like “White Chalk” and “Recipe.”
The six-track multi-layered effort is curated by legendary mixtape mavericks Trapaholics and features production from The Brokerage.
