On the evening of May 3rd, during the Top 8 at 8 countdown, Orlando-based rapper Vetta J was crowned the newest winner of 104.5 The Beat’s “Who Got Next”Artist Competition, which has ultimately been the kick start of his music career. Since his win, Vetta J has been working non-stop, pushing new tracks and gaining more publicity, going harder than before to prove to the city that they didn’t pick a mediocre artist. Along with winning the title, Vetta J now has the opportunity to open up for Gunna live in concert and also a trip to NYC, where he’ll meet with record label executives from 300 Ent.
What started out with 8 talented Orlando artists, the competition, hosted by 104.5 The Beat’s very own YS Baby was narrowed down to the top 3 finalists. Judges DJ MK, Yung Ladd, Q, and Dakari carefully used their expertise in hip hop music to help select the winner.
104.5 The Beat’s “Who Got Next”Artist Competition is powered by iHeart Radio and 300 Ent.
